Back Rub Ointment

back rub ointment
I have a rash on my stomach and chest caused by sweat. Cured once, but came back again. Please help.?

I have a brown rash sorta thing that according to the dermatologist, was caused by sweat. In order to make it go away, he told me to mix Athletes Foot Ointment and Pimple Cream together and rub it on the areas where the brown parts were. They completely vanished in a month. I was careful, and immediately showered after every time I exercised, washing the sweat off. However, the rash came back again a few weeks later. I used the same treatment, but this time it doesn’t seem to be doing any good. In fact, some of the brown spots turned into bumpy red spots. Please help.

BTW: The brown spots were somewhat smooth and had no bumps on them. They were dry too.

I’m not sure why he told u to use pimple cream, since what you’re experiencing seems to be primarily caused by the fungus(fungi causes athletes foot and irritation in other areas, but it’s a different fungus thats causing your issue. Still the athletes foot ointment kills it). I would use the athletes foot ointment by itself(it will work better because it wont be diluted with pimple cream). Once the rash is fully resolved, use it for another week(just to make sure it’s completely gone). Once u complete this treatment, make sure to always completely dry the area after washing it. This is very important because fungi likes wet environments. I would also recommend using some baby powder or athletes foot powder(on those areas, after fully dry) to help keep it stay dry throughout the day(this is once yur no longer using the ointment).

And if it’s itches, u can use rubbing alcohol, on a napkin, to relieve the itching and even to help to dry it out. Drying it will help it heal and will kill the fungus. If this doesn’t help, I would recommend that u see a different dermatologist and get a prescription anti-fungal like Ketoconazole. Don’t worry, it’ll work out. Also, as a note I should tell u that sometimes it takes longer to get rid of skin fungus irritation, the second time around. if u keep doing what yur doing it probably will eventually kick in and get rid of it. I suppose that acne medication is drying so thats probably why the dermatologist told u to use it. I can see how it might help, but i would probably just use the athletes foot stuff by itself. Oh and one more thing. Use some Selsun Blue shampoo on the areas. let it sit for a few minutes before u wash it off throughly. This will likely help too. Get the selsun w Selenium Sulphide.
