calf strain/heel injury?

I have been being treated for a heel injury. They thought is was plantar facitis but it turned out to be tendonitis (achilies and posterior) I was in physical therapy for it but now I have no insurace so I cant go back. THe therapist can give me no more advice on what to do not even on continued stretching that she has perscribed. While in therapy though she noticed that I had a large knot in my calf muscle and that was what she thought all my pain was due to . She had been massaging me and gently stretching the calf. Now of course I cant see her. Should I go to a massage spa salon place and let them massage my calf for me? or will that aggrivate the condition. How could I massage myself? I have biofreeze. WHat do you recomend

do the stretches that PT gave you. Contine everything they said to do. Also try to massage your own leg using the biofreeze. If its extremly painful you can try a massage spa but they will not massage exactly like the PT did. I had this happen and it took 3 months to heel and still has a little pian.
