Massage Therapy Programs In Florida

Is Massage Therapy a good choice if you already have a bachelors?

I am in my 6th week of the program and I am concerned I am not going to make enough money doing massage to live comfortably while I pay back my loan for the program ($9300). I already have a college degree in nutrition that I have yet to use. I got into massage because I could not find a job in this horrible market. Am I going to have the same problem with massage after i finish the school? Any LMTs in FLorida have any advice? I would appreciate anyones input! Thanks a lot!

if you are in the Fla School of Massage you are receiving excellent training. dave rarely knows of that which he often speaks. U of Fl med school has massage therapists in cardiac unit. they have found that bypass recipients recover more quickly if massage is provided post surgery.

the LMT’s that i know make $40,000 to $60,000/year working in physicians’ office. several neurologists employ massage therapists as do hospital physical therapy departments. some free standing physical therapy businesses employ massage therapists.

your skill set must be well above the average to earn the $’s and it takes time to build clientele but it can be done.
good luck
