What kind of massage would benefit me most?

I have a bunch of knots in my back from stress and a lot of painful points right along my spine, as well as stiffness in my neck and shoulders. Chronic back pain seems to run in my family, and I think I might be starting to feel some of it (I’m 21 years old).

I really think that a massage would do me good (at the very least it would be relaxing), but I’m not sure what type of massage to go for. I can choose from Lomi Lomi, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, hot stone massage, medical massage, trigger point therapies, lymphatic drainage, neuromuscular techniques, and sports massage. What would you recommend?

Trigger point massage seems to be what you require. I also would recommend reflexology to relax your entire body and work on the energy of your meridians and the energy flow to your back and shoulders. From my experience in both giving and receiving massage ANY form of touch is beneficial….it’s all in the intention of the healer working on you!
take care
