I’ve just got my license for Massage Therapy and have been asked to massage at a baby shower/spa party. I have never done anything like this yet and I’m uncertain on what I should charge. The party consists of the host plus 20 guests…but the host isn’t sure how many people are actually going to show up. I also haven’t been told whether she wants a chair massages or table massages. So, what is an example of a price for each? And how did you come to that price?
It depends on lots of factors. So you need to get more info from the client about the party . How long you will be there, type of massage (chair or table) if she wants added things like hot stones aroma therapy. I personally do not charge by how many people are there. I charge by how long they want me there I charge $200 for the first 3 hours then $30 for every hour after that. Remember that the best part of these parties is the opportunities to expand you client base .
