Massage Therapy History
Resume: What exactly is my objective?
I want my objective to say more than: Looking for a job as an administrative assistant or receptionist. How does this sound?
Objective:
Use acquired interpersonal and business knowledge in order to provide support for administrative positions and outstanding service to customers
Also, when writing a resume, should I include college experience that has nothing to do with the type of job I am seeking? For instance, I went to school for my Massage Therapy certification, but if I’m looking for an administrative assistant position, should I even include that? Now for job history, I’ve only been working for 5 years, so I don’t have that long of a job history, but should I include every single job I’ve ever worked at (it could get lengthy) or just experience that I think is lengthy? I worked in restaurants for two years and then retail for one before going into administrative assistance. Any help would be great!
What I would do, is I would do something called a functional resume, where you take some of the skills that are transferable from all of your jobs, and then list the jobs at the end. Objectives are designed to show people that you’re looking for work.
Objective:
With several of years of experience and training within the clerical and admin support area, I believe that I would be able to add an asset to your company for ___,___,__ .
