Whiplash severe pain in C7 location?

I was rear ended by a semi in Feb and have suffered from pain. I am going to physical therapy and today she pressed on a spot (c7) and it hurt so bad I almost came off the table. Even after massage, electric stimulation and ultrasound my pain level is still the same and getting worse. I’ve also experienced recently a feeling of electric shocks going down both arms and muscle weakness in my left arm. I haven’t had a MRI done yet but I’m kinda scared this could last forever. Anyone have any experience with this and any relief they had? Thanks to all who answer.
