I just don’t get people, at my age I’m tried of the stupid games, Why do they play them. Read more for details

I am 43, young at heart, body and spirit woman. This guy I’ve seen a few times made a date for tonight at 7pm. I only asked him of one thing when we started dating, I am very OPEN HONEST AND REAL< Respect me! So here it is 8:36 pm and he never called or anything. Have not heard from him since last night when he made the plans with me. Okay now some back ground. He has never done this before, always acted like a really nice guy, sweet, romantic, open, honest and real! His ex wife has shown some green lately and asked him to come back. He said he just isn't sure, his only reason would be the kids. Honest, but he was coming over because I was buying a massage table from his ex. He called last night and asked me if I wanted one. I am a Physical Therapist Asst, and Massage Therapist. I am hurt and mader than hell!!! Why do people do this, I just don't get it? Why is there no respect in our world today? Men or Women I don't get it please help me understand.

Barring some accident or incident that kept him from keeping your date he is inconsiderate. However, it is probably better for you that he didn’t show. You know his ex wife? How comfortable could your relationship, should you develop one, ever be anyway? You are giving too much power to people when you believe they are playing games with you if they disappoint you. You are not a toy, right? So show him by not making any more dates if you believe he is toying with your affections. If he doesn’t have a very valid excuse for missing your date that would be another reason not to make any future dates with him. This just sounds like bad business all around; mixing business with pleasure.
BTW, I don’t believe people are so sophisticated that they sit around thinking up ways to play games with other people. I believe, rather, that many people don’t know their own minds, are confused about what they want and maybe a bit insensitive. The ball is always in your court! Serve it with integrity and you’ll be fine.
I recently had my heart broken by a lover who left the country and said he’d return. He has not. After a while I saw that I was doing all the contacting and he just acted enthusiastic when I did; leading me on. I am hurt, but I am not a toy and I don’t believe he was playing games with me. Just insensitive to my needs so I advise you to do what I am doing….MOVE ON. You never get to old to learn or to love.
