Back Massage In Pregnancy

Is it normal to have back pain during pregnancy?
I’m about 17 weeks pregnant. Yesterday morning I woke up with alot of lower and middle back pressure. It hurt worse when I laid down. In addition to that I also had alot of pressure in my rectum and anus. I am not in labor. My water has not broken and it hasn’t progressively gotten worse. It’s gotten a bit better.
I was wondering is it possible that maybe my uterus is pressing on a nerve, even if I’m only 17 weeks.
I has my husband kind of give me a back massage, and there whas a spot he pressed which I could tell he was pressing on a nerve. When he pressed it I could feel the nerve tingle from that spot to exactly where if hurts in my rectum.
I this common. Can’t call doctor until tomorrow. I’m freaking out that this is something serious life threatening to me and the baby.
yeah i had it hell of alot during pregnanc
