reflexology foot massage pregnancy
Swollen foot due to pregnancy or something else?

Weeks ago a knot appeared on my arch of my foot that really hurt. Went to the chiropractor because I figured my balance was changing. He worked on me and said put ice on it. Went to the massage therapist. She worked on my feet a little but said she couldn’t do more because of some foot reflexology pressure points doing harm to pregnancy. Now I am 6 months pregnant and vacationing in Hawaii where the weather is warm. My knot is still there and my foot has really swollen up and it is painful to walk. I’ve had ice on it and have had it elevated for long hours at a time. Is this pregnancy related–just ONE foot? Or do you think my balance is just way off? It feels like my tendons are very swollen. I think I will see a doctor when I get back but I don’t know what he could do for me. Any advice? Thanks.

Okay, first of all, I just have to say, I am SO glad I’m not the only one who experienced this LOL I thought I was weird!

Anyway, I got the SAME thing when I was probably about 7 months pregnant this second time. (My son is 10 days old, so..) and I was shopping, we sat down to eat, and when I stood back up, i could hardly walk! The inside of my foot, the arch part, was swollen and BLUE!! I never did figure out why…

If you do, let me know! (It was only my left foot, too..)
