help with going back to college?

I’m almost 24 and I dropped out of college the first time around. I always promised myself I would go back. I’m just very overwhelmed with the idea of it. I know I need to get my degree because I can’t be a massage therapist forever, my body will wear out one day. I’m just worried that the longer I take to go back to school, the harder it will be.

I have about 45 credit hours from Georgetown University and then a couple of other certifications (Massage Therapy, esthetics)

Will I need to retake SAT or ACT tests or anything like that again? It’s been so many years since I took those. Or does it even matter once you’re past a certain age.

How do I decide which school to go to? There are several in my area (I live near Kansas City) I’m fortunate that my schedule can be more flexible than most people’s, but I think it will still be difficult.

Ok, this is coming from someone who went back to school…on more then one occasion:)

You will not have to take ACT’s or SAT’s over….thank god that is only a high school deal…so you are done with that. Depending on what you have already taken they might make you take a math or english proficiency test (but that varies from school to school). You will also need to get a hold of your college transcripts. You will likely need to call Georgetown to see what their policy is on obtaining those…there might even be a small processing fee involved…but it will be small. Some will want you to send a letter by mail requesting them, some will do it online…once again it varies by school. When you have selected a school(s) you can give George. the address of the admissions department…and they will mail it there. Sometimes you can have “official and sealed” copies sent to you and you can give them to your prospective schools in person. Once again you will need to ask the school on their policy on transcripts, some will only accept ones that have been mailed by the actual school they are from.
Well i mean to choose a school you need to have a general idea of what you might want to do. Which is something i can not help you with:) your flexible schedule will be a plus for you, and it is going to be pretty easy to schedule your clients around classes. Just narrow your choice down to a few schools, reasearch their web sites then start making phone calls and even setting up appointments to meet with an admissions advisor, they will be able to give you TONS of info:)

Hope i helped, i know this was long. But if you need anything else just let me know. Like i said i have done this a few times before and i will finally be graduating with my BFA in december!!! GOOD LUCK!!
